Frequency Inverter

In this tutorial we will look at a frequency inverter and its application. It is a device that converts the constant applied voltage and frequency of the main power supply into varying voltage and frequency. It is mounted between the power supply and the motor and allows a simple standard motor to become a flexible, modelable system with variable speed drive.

The frequency inverter is used to regulate the frequency of the motor, as well as for its protection. For more information about the frequency inverter VFD, refer to the library.
