In this tutorial we will look at the turning process, which is one of the most common methods of processing material by cutting. It is performed on metal-cutting machines called lathes, and when using cutting tools – turning knives.
These machines operate on the principle of rotation using the rotation of the workpiece to perform various operations such as scraping the outer rotating surfaces, scraping the inner rotating surfaces, trimming the front surfaces, cutting, grooving, threading, machining on complex surfaces with a special tool.For more information on the turning process, refer to the library.
