CHAIN GEARS
In this lesson we will look at the gears with a comb / rack /. The comb mechanism is often used to convert rotational motion into translational and vice versa.
It consists of a cylindrical gear and a straight toothed rack. When the gear rotates, the comb moves in a straight line – progressively. Refer to the library for more information on the racks.
