PID Controller

CHAIN GEARS

In this tutorial we will look at a PID controller and its application. PID stands for proportional-integral-derivative. It can automatically control different quantities – temperature, pressure, flow, etc.

PID controllers use feedback from the control loop or process a variable to keep track of where the output should be. They are usually available in the form of sensors and measuring instruments. PIDs are available in various forms – alone or in combination with PLC programming. For more information on the PID controller, refer to the library.
